Mohamed Salah wins the Professional Footballer's Association Award 2018

The 25 - years old Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah won the Professional Footballer's Association (PFA) award on Sunday. He is the first Egyptian player in history to ever win this award.

Mohamed Salah has helped Liverpool to reach Champions League semi-finals with 41 goals in all competitions as he joined As Roma last year. With help of Mohamed Salah, Liverpool is also at top-four finish in Premier league.

He was voted by the PFA members from the 92 premier league and football league teams as he was winner. The six-man short list also included Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sane and David Silva.

Leroy Sane took trophy of The Youngest Player of the year.
Also, at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, Fran Kirby of Chelsea ladies won the Women's Player of the year award.


Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager hailed Mohamed Salah in a video during the award. He said "It's really rare in football that you win as an individual, an individual trophy, because its a team game. I am really happy that I got an opportunity to be your manager last year. I also think this award your were voted from all other players in England is an unbelievable honour. You should be proud of yourself and your family should be proud of you too. Once again, on behalf on the LFC family, Congratulations.
